
STRUCTURE

ASUOP Government has three branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. These three branches work together to ensure that the student voice is heard in university governance, supply essential and valuable service to the ASUOP members, and provide the opportunity to be involved in student life at Pacific.

The Executive branch is chaired by the elected President and Vice President of ASUOP. This branch is composed of the
ASUOP President, ASUOP Vice President, and Cabinet. There are several Cabinet positions that focus on the various needs of students. The Executive branch works closely with the Board of Regents, University President, and various student organizations in order to represent the student body.

The voting members of Senate shall be comprised of fourteen total Senators and the Vice President: One Senator from each of the currently recognized academic schools or colleges that ASUOP members are enrolled in. The number of Senators at-Large, determined by the remaining seats occupied by school-specific Senators. The Vice President of ASUOP, President of the Senate, may only vote to break a tie.

Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of the Associated Students of University of the Pacific (“The Court”) has Original and Exclusive jurisdiction over all justiciable issues pertaining to any ASUOP agency or body, or any individual acting on the behalf of ASUOP.
Oversight Council
The Judicial Oversight Council is the body responsible if a member of ASUOP reports a violation of the Code of Ethics by a member of the Judiciary.
Ethics Violation Review
The ASUOP Supreme Court is responsible for reviewing alleged ethical violation(s) in accordance with Chapter 200.1.iii. of the ASUOP Bylaws. Please submit This Form with any violations you believe have taken place in order for review.
